The Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield is located in Finningley at a former RAF base almost four miles southeast of Doncaster and eighteen miles east of Sheffield. Passengers numbers are at around the one million mark per year and this makes the Robin Hood airport the second largest in Yorkshire, after Leeds Bradford Airport.
With a history owed to military aviation the airfield has one of the larger runways to be found in north England. Previously this has been used as a long range nuclear bomber base and makes the airport perfect for the wide bodied cargo carrying aircrafts.
The most popular Doncaster Robin Hood parking option is the on airport car park, just opposite the terminal building and with fairly cheap rates for a weeks parking, only the off airport Elite car park provides rates cheaper.
