Arrival Procedure:We operate an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system so it is essential you have entered the correct vehicle registration when making your booking. On arrival, please drive up to the entry barrier and your car registration will be read. A ticket will be automatically issued to you. Make your way to any available space and park your car. Keep this ticket safe as it will be needed on your return. If a ticket is not automatically dispensed, please press the “Assistance” button and explain to the operator that your vehicle has not been recognised. Please confirm your booking details, including your car registration. A ticket will then be issued. Keep this ticket safe as it will be needed on your return.
Departure Procedure:Upon your return to the airport, proceed to your car and drive to the exit barrier. Please insert your ticket to leave and the barrier should raise automatically. If the barrier does not raise and/or asks for payment, please do not insert your credit or debit card into the barrier as a further payment will be taken. Please press the intercom button for assistance and quote your pre-booking reference number.
Directions:From the North leave the M1 at Junction 24 and, following the signs to the airport, take the A453 for approximately 1/2 mile. Turn right into the airport.
From the South leave the M1 at Junction 23a and follow the signs to the airport.
From the West follow A50 to J24 then follow the signs to East Midlands airport.
Upon your arrival at the airport, Long stay car parks are clearly signposted by entering the site at the main entrance, turn left at the first roundabout traffic island and following the road until the next roundabout. Proceed straight on, reaching a third roundabout. Turn left and at the next roundabout turn left again. At the fifth roundabout, turn right into Shuttle Plus car park.
Transfers:Transfers take around 6 minutes and run 24 hours a day. These run every 15 minutes.
Security:The car park has perimeter fencing, is covered by CCTV and the Police have awarded the Park Mark Award for safer car parking. Regular security and customer service patrols are in place.
Disabled Notes:Blue badge holders may pre-book this long stay product and park in the short stay car park instead where dedicated spaces are available. Please ensure that your blue badge is clearly displayed and upon your return state that you have parked in the Short stay car park when you present your entry ticket and booking confirmation to the Car park enquiries office (situated in the Short stay car park)
Extra Notes:No motor homes, lorries, trailers or caravans are permitted even if multiple spaces are booked. Shuttle Economy Plus is formerly long stay 6.
