A great deal of us have taken advantage of cheap flights in the past by the so called budget airlines and whilst many have benefited with reduced, some have found various add-ons have soon bumped up the prices. These extra fees range from credit card surcharges to extra baggage costs and can vary massively between the different airline companies.
Generally, a low cost carrier is an airline that offers fewer comforts for a lower fare but with various additional charges it really is questionable whether budget really means paying less. And with prices only likely to rise due to higher fuel and carbon costs its important travellers search around and know exactly what they are getting for their money.
