Q: What is a "gadget"?

A: A gadget is any electronic device that can be easily carried around with you, such as mobile phones, MP3 players and Sat Nav devices.

Q: What do we get with your policies?

A: Typically a policy will cover accidental damage and breakdown but often they will also include a free technical helpline, worldwide cover,accesories cover, family cover, and insurance of up to 10 items and its best to check the terms and conditions should you have any queries at all.

Q: What gadgets can you cover?

A: Gadget Insurance can cover any portable electronic devices, including mobile phones, iPhones, MP3 players, iPods, Sat Nav devices, portable games consoles, digital cameras and camcorders. Please note that some Gadget Insurance policies may not cover all of the above with some excluding laptops, netbooks and ipads.

Q: How long does cover under my policy last?

A: This all depends on the policy in place but typically a policy lasts twelve months from the date of purchase.

Q: What do I do if I need to make a claim on my policy?

A: If you need to make a claim on your policy your policy wording and certificate of insurance should detail the exact method of claim (usually a phone number). Please note: there is often a maximum time period after an incident to make a claim (often within 24-48 hours) so we would always recommend you contact your insurance company as early as possible.
