Directions:Increasing problems with congestion are being reported at Luton airport, and the airport is advising passengers to make sure they arrive with ample time to spare before their flight to avoid the risk of missing it. The official recommendation is to arrive three hours before a long-haul flight, two hours before a European flight and 90 minutes before a domestic flight. We strongly recommend that you don not use a sat nav to find Airparks Luton, as we have found that with some sat navs, customers have had trouble finding Airparks with just the postcode. There are also two Grove Roads, one in Slip End and the other in Luton town centre. We recommend that you follow the directions below, but if you do still wish to use a sat nav, you should enter Grove Road and the postcode, or Slip End and the postcode. From the M1: Leave the motorway at junction 10. At the motorway roundabout, follow signs to Luton airport. At the next roundabout - junction 10a - take the third exit onto the A1081 towards St Albans and Harpenden. Take the first right, Newlands Road, towards Slip End. Drive under the motorway and take the next left, the B4540 Church Road, which is signposted Slip End. At the main traffic lights in Slip End, turn right into Grove Road, then take the first left into the service road. Airparks is about 100 yards down the road on the right. Follow signs to the arrivals area and reception. There are currently roadworks on the A1081 London Road, between junction 10 of the M1 and Airparks. We recommend that you check the Highways Agency website before you travel, and that you allow extra time for your journey in case there are traffic jams because of the roadworks.
Transfers are available twenty-four hours a day, operating every 20 minutes and taking only 9 minutes.
Security:Holders of the Park Mark Award from the Association of Chief Police Officers. Fenced and floodlit site with 24 hour patrols and CCTV.
Disabled Notes:All Luton airparks buses have disabled access.
Insurance:Parking is always at the vehicle owners own risk.
Extra Notes:Luton Airparks Services has achieved the ISO 9001 standard of quality assurance for secured airport parking and passenger handling services. No mobile homes, lorries, caravans etc are permitted, even if multiple spaces are booked and Airparks are unable to carry bikes, surfboards or canoes on their minibuses. Airparks are unable to carry bikes, surfboards, canoes or other large objects which do not fit onto luggage racks on their buses. If you are bringing large items with you we suggest you drop them off at the airport before parking your car. Remember to check beforehand that your airline will accept them for carriage.
We normally advise our customers to give themselves 40 minutes to park at Airparks and transfer to the airport - longer during the rush hour. However, there are currently roadworks on the M1 between junctions 6a and 12, so we advise you to leave extra time for your journey to Airparks too. More information is available on the Highways Agency website.
